Common questions from Centre Directors

Q: "What time do you start photographing & how long will it take?"

A: The earlier the better we have found! , however we will begin at a time most suitable for you. Depending on Child numbers, we like to finish before lunch so we don't disrupt your daily routine too much.

Q: "Indoor or outdoor portraits, how do we choose?"

A: Very much depends on various factors, weather (has your Centre an undercover area for wet days?), Child numbers (Small Centres under 25 per day are outdoor only & Larger Centres 70+ is up to you). We will discuss your individual needs at time of booking.

Q: "Do you provide marketing materials / information for Parents?"

A: Yes!! We sure do. About one month before your Photo days, we send all the relevant information to you. We also encourage your Families to contact us directly should they have any questions.

Q: "How many days does our Centre need?"

A: We generally work on the following method, however we are quite flexible to accommodate your needs.

0 - 25 Children per day = 1 Photo day

25 - 50 Children per day = 2 Photo days

50 - 75 Children per day = 3 - 4 Photo days

75+ Children per day = 4 - 5 Photo days

Children who do not attend the Centre during Photo days are welcome to come along and have their photo taken on one of the days that suit.

Q: "How does the order system work?"

A: Very easily - an order / payment envelope is sent home with each child prior to photo day. Any Child purchasing a photo package is required to return the envelope on photo day & hand it to the photographer . Only Children with an envelope with the payment inside will be photographed on the day.

Q: "What's the commission paid to our Centre?"

A: We are very generous with our commission , it's non complicated - simply if the total orders received by the due date exceeds $1000 ,  your Centre will receive 15% of the total sales paid to you to do what you want with it.

Common Questions from Parents / Guardians

Q: " My Child doesn't attend the Centre when Photo Days are on, Can I bring him in on one of the days?"

A: Absolutely, we recommend bringing your Child along on any of the Photo days before 10am. Please notify your Centre Manager so we know to expect you.

Q: " We have other Children in our Family who do NOT attend the Centre, can we bring them for Sibling Photos?"

A: Unfortunately no. We follow same procedures as School Photograpers and ONLY Photograph siblings together if they ALL attend the Centre. As we work around Baby Sleep times and Class photos, our time is restricted so we need to spend the time on the Children attending the Centre. We are happy to do Friend photos, again as long as they all attend the Centre and the Centre Dircetor is notified before hand.

Q: "What do I dress my Child in?"

A: We love colour!! It's fun, it's happy, it's basically the essence and a reflection of Childhood years. If using props, we tend to use colourful items, or furniture. So we highly recommend solid colours in t-shirts or dresses. They can be patterned but just try & avoid large logos. It really is up to you, but please mention to your Centre Manager or a Staff member if there is anything special for us to know regarding your Childs clothing. (eg: if your Child's jumper is to be removed & showing the shirt underneath.)

Q: "How long until we receive our Photos?"

A: There will be a "closing date" for orders to be handed back to the Centre. From this date, we estimate approx 3 weeks until we return the completed orders back to the Centre. Sometimes it is before 3 weeks, it really depends on the size of the Centre.

Q: " I have lost my order form and it's after the "closing date", am I able to still order photos?"

A: We completely understand that life happens and sometimes things slip our minds! Not a problem, just email info@thechildcarephotographer.com.au, we will email you a new order form and explain how to place a late order. Depending on how long after the closing date, there is a possibilty of a postage & handling charge of $10 if we need to post your order to you
